Day 1: Arrival in Venice – Monday 01 September 2025
Upon arriving in Venice, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel by a scenic water taxi. This is the only way to arrive in Italy! After checking in, you’ll have the evening free to settle in and relax. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner at a local Venetian restaurant, where you’ll experience traditional Venetian cuisine and meet the rest of the group.
Day 2: Venice – Tuesday 02 September 2025
After your Italian style breakfast, we start the day with a guided half-day tour that includes entry to the magnificent Doge’s Palace. This Gothic masterpiece features opulent rooms, intricate artwork, and the iconic Bridge of Sighs. After the tour, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore Venice on your own. You might visit St. Mark’s Basilica, admire the Rialto Bridge, or take a memorable gondola ride through the city’s enchanting canals. In the evening, you can choose from a variety of local eateries or simply enjoy a peaceful evening by the canals.
Day 3: Venice – Wednesday 03 September 2025
Today after our Italian style breakfast, enjoy a full day to explore more of Venice at your leisure. Remember you have your Vaporetto Pass (ferry tickets) You might take a trip to the nearby islands of Murano, renowned for its glass-making, and Burano, famous for its colourful houses and lace-making. Alternatively, you could wander through the charming neighbourhoods, such as Campo Santa Margherita or the Jewish Ghetto. Dinner is at your leisure, with numerous options to savour Venetian specialties.
Day 4: Venice to Florence – Thursday 04 September 2025
After our Italian style breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head to the train station to board a train for our journey to Florence. Upon arrival, we check into your hotel and begin your exploration of this Renaissance city. You might start with a visit to the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), where you can marvel at the stunning dome designed by Brunelleschi. Explore Piazza della Signoria, home to the Palazzo Vecchio and a replica of Michelangelo’s David. Enjoy the evening discovering Florence at your own pace. Tonight for those interested we will meet in the lobby and walk to the wonderful Florence Mercato Centrale to have a drink and a meal – this is a real cultural and enjoyable experience (meal & drink at own cost) Something that is a must in Florence.
Day 5: Florence – Friday 05 September 2025
After our Italian style breakfast, its time to explore Florence. Begin your day with a hop-on hop-off bus tour of Florence, which will take you to major highlights such as the Uffizi Gallery, renowned for its masterpieces by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo, and the Ponte Vecchio, a medieval bridge lined with charming shops. In the afternoon, you may choose to stop and visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s original David or relax in the Boboli Gardens. Remember your tickets are for the whole day so if you’re a bit tiered just do the full loop on the bus and see Florence with commentary and without walking. Dinner is at your leisure, and you can indulge in Tuscan specialties like ribollita or Florentine steak. Ask us for a recommendation or stop at one of the many places to eat while still touring this amazing city.
Day 6: Florence to Pisa – Saturday 06 September 2025
After our Italian style breakfast we will make our way to the train station for our trip to Pisa. On arrival at Pisa we will walk (around 20 minutes) to visit the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. Along with the tower, you can visit the nearby Cathedral and Baptistery. You must get your photo here and we will have time for lunch also. After exploring Pisa, we will return to Florence by train around mid afternoon. Tonight enjoy a relaxing evening and have Dinner at your leisure.
Day 7: Florence to Orvieto – Sunday 07 September 2025
After our Italian style breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and head for the train station around mind morning. We will travel by train to the charming town of Orvieto. On arrival at the train station we will take the Funicular (which takes around 10 minutes and costs 2 Euro’s) into the town of Orvieto. We will check into our hotel and begin your exploration of this historic town. Located on a hill this medieval town has a lot to offer and a visit to the underground tunnels is a must. You can also visit the impressive Orvieto Cathedral, renowned for its stunning façade and frescoes, and the Pozzo di San Patrizio, an impressive well with a double helix staircase. In the evening, you have the chance to explore Orvieto’s picturesque streets, with views of the country side and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 8: Orvieto to Rome – Sunday 08 September 2025
This morning after our Italian style breakfast, we will depart Orvieto by Funicular to the train station and head to Rome by train. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and start exploring the Eternal City. You might visit the Colosseum, an ancient amphitheater with a rich history, and the nearby Roman Forum, which was once the centre of ancient Roman public life. Spend the evening exploring Rome or enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 9: Rome – Monday 09 September 2025
After enjoying your Italian style breakfast on the terrace we will start your day with a hop-on hop-off bus tour of Rome, covering major attractions such as the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel and Raphael Rooms, and St. Peter’s Basilica, where you can marvel at Michelangelo’s Pietà and the grand dome. In the afternoon, continue your exploration with visits to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. There is so much to see and your tickets are valid for the whole day so you can still see this amazing city and rest your feet. This evening is free for you to enjoy dinner at your leisure.
Day 10: Rome – Monday 10 September 2025
After your Italian style breakfast it will be our final full day in Rome. Depending on booking allocation time this morning we will tour the Vatican Museum and Sistine chapel, which are an absolute must in Rome. Later today take the opportunity to explore more of Rome or revisit some of the sites you didn’t get time to really explore. Visit the Spanish Steps, relax at the famous staircase, or enjoy a stroll through the beautiful Villa Borghese park, which features museums and gardens. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time for shopping or last-minute sightseeing. In the evening, join us for a farewell dinner at a local Roman restaurant, where you can savour traditional Roman dishes and toast to a memorable trip.
Day 11: Departure from Rome Tuesday 11 September 2025
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and we can arrange a transfer to the airport for your departure flight, (not included please book this with us once you have flight times) marking the end of your blockbuster Italian adventure.
